This article continues the authors’ research on the development of a ceramic scale for Pereyaslavl Ryazansky (modern Ryazan). This paper examines the tradition of pottery ornamentation in Pereyaslavl Ryazansky and its changes over time. Three groups of ornamentation are distinguished: dynamic, static, and combined. The research traces variations in the ornamental composition, methods of its application, and the arrangement of ornamental elements for all groups of pottery from Pereyaslavl Ryazansky identified by the authors (Kireyev, Sudakov, 2025a). Statistical and typological analysis made it possible to trace chronological changes in the decoration of vessels from Pereyaslavl Ryazansky between the second half of the 12th and 18th century and identify corresponding chronological indicators –percentage of ornamental types characteristic of specific periods.
