The article examines a bone mount depicting a horseman, discovered in 2022 at the Podymalovo 1 settlement in the Bashkir Cis-Urals. The study introduces the results of the artefact analysis and reconstructs the weaponry of warriors from the Golden Horde period. The analysis revealed that the find was manufactured at a fairly high level of skill. The development of a 3D model of the mount made it possible to reconstruct the presumed appearance of a horseman including a sphero-conical helmet, a ringed camail, and a saber with a cross-shaped guard characteristic of the Turkic-Mongol warrior culture of the 14th–15th centuries AD. The find testifies to the cultural ties of the Bashkir Cis-Urals with the nomads of the Golden Horde. The research results expand the knowledge of the region’s military arts and craft traditions.
