New finds of casting moulds and some metal artifacts in the vicinity of the famous site – the settlement Kultepe I are of great interest, because now there are few finds that can help to characterize the work of ancient metalmakers. A stone casting mould for the casting of a shaft-hole axes has been found accidentally not far from the village Gahab (fig.1), single-leafed clay casting mould for the casting of axe-adzes – at the Eneolith settlement Zirindgli (fig. 2, 1). The finding of the remains of the copper ore speaks for the metal manufacturing in the settlement Zirindgli (Marro, Bakhshaliyev, Ashurov, 2011. P. 83–95). A clay tayere (fig. 2, 2) has been found in the late Eneolith layer of the settlement Ovchulartepesi (Baxşəliyev, Marro, Aşurov, 2012. P. 80; Əliyev, 2012. Tabl. XLV, 3). The wares from copper-arsenic alloys are also originated from Ovchular Tepesi. The remains of the metallurgic lead have been also found there (the materials are not published). Metal-working tools and the considerable amount of metal wares found in Ovchulartepesi show that the metal manufacturing started booming at the end of the Chalcolithic Age and continued in the Early Bronze Age.
