Key words: musical antiquities of Novgorod the Great, gusli, gusli-psaltery, gudets, narrators-gusli players, skomorokhi-poteshniki.

A rare bronze plaque, showing a musician with gusli-рsaltery and his two listeners, has been found in Novgorod the Great in the layer dating back to the beginning of the 15th century. The artifact confirms the presence of gusli-рsaltery and professional narrators-gusli players in life of medieval Novgorod and proves the existence of specific music culture.
