Key words: glass working production, Roman time, Northern Black Sea region, chemical composition of glass, isotopic analysis.

Pieces of raw glass were found in the submarine excavation of Phanagoria while investigating the port construction. The archaeological context of the finds allows dating them back to the 3rd–4th cc. AD. The complex of elemental and isotopic analysis data makes it possible to suppose that the glass originates from the Levant, and probably, from the Southeastern Mediterranean. Assuming that, secondary workshops of Asian Bosporus used the imported semi-products, being part of the Mediterrannean system of raw glass trading.
