Key words: silver bowl, Mikulino settlement, Dalmatia, attribution and dating, title, Serbian popular name.

In the article there is an attempt made to reread the inscription on the silver bowl with the depiction of the “St. Genus and the Dragon” on the bottom found in the 19th c. in the rockslide of the earthworks of Mikulino fortified settlement and rethink its content. The owner or the client of the precious vessel was not the “Moscow Prince George the Great” but Serbian or Dalmatian “Knez Vyk (Vlk) Georgii”. Although the name of a new owner of the bowl cannot be found in written sources and two almost equal variants could be suggested. He was either a highest official of one of the Dalmatian cities-communes or a significant commander-landowner on the Ottoman or Austrian service.
