Key words: the Sargat culture/community, Tobol River basin, burials, morphotypes, social identity.

The analysis of the Sargat culture burials of the forest-steppe Tobol River basin (the early Iron Age) has been done. General and specific features of people of the different age groups have been identified. Not only circumstantial characteristics (such as the analysis of burial rites and ritualism) have been considered, but also the data of paleopathology. The results which have been received during the research complement the earlier suggested social reconstructions.
